A guide for configuring a variety of Cisco IP Phone models (79XX series) to work with Asterisk PBX systems.
All configuration file examples are available as well.
How did you get SEPxxx/dialplan/etc uploaded to the server?
Docs suck too, everything is based off SOHO or SMB. Switchvox Free version needs the phone to do all the configuring and then it just logs into the PBX.
Available online and in PDF format: Online version: version: page documents how you configure a Cisco IP phone with Asterisk.
If the phone has not been added to the Cisco Call Manager database, the TFTP server generates a CFG File Not Found response. My phones are stuck at the registering state and i have tried turning off NAT in the ext settings and in my config file...could use an example config or something.I have spent many hours working with the Cisco 7960 series phone and Switchvox.Obtain a new copy of the phone firmware and place it in the TFTPPath directory. You should only copy files into this directory when the TFTP server software is shut down, otherwise the files may be corrupted.
